Planning the Shoot: The whole experience with me starts out with an initial consultation in which we talk about all the details and questions regarding the session: your vision, location, outfit ideas and investment. This can be either done on the phone or in person. A lot of times it is nice to meet in person beforehand, if possible, so I can get a better impression of you (and you of me!) and we can get to know each other a little bit. For in-home sessions, it would be nice, but not necessary, if I could come over to your home so I can get a better sense of the setting and lighting to plan accordingly. The non- refundable retainer is due once we schedule the time and date for your session.
Your Photo Session: Usually I like to start out the shoot with some time to hang out (walking around, chatting or playing with your kids) to ease you all into it. I want you to be comfortable and relaxed, and I want your kids to be comfortable with me. I will then give you clear directions once I start shooting. This is the fun part! We will try out different things, different angles, find poses that won't feel posed. We will laugh, play and enjoy this time together of creating beautiful images of you and/or your children. This will take about 1 -2 hours, sometimes a little longer as I will take my time to get you exactly what you want. The rest of the payment will be due on the day of the session.
After the Shoot: A couple days after the shoot, I will send you 3-5 pictures to give you a sneak peek of your session. The rest of the images will be delivered to you via an online gallery within two weeks, so you can choose which ones you would like to get printed. I would be happy to meet with you and view the slide show together to help you make choices. After you order the prints, it will take up to 14 days for orders to be processed, completed and delivered, up to 30 days for framed prints. You will then be the owner of fine art prints to hang on your wall and, of course, the rest of your purchased digital files as well. It will be an investment you won't regret!
